Power Steering Belt

Has anyone else had trouble getting a replacement belt for the power steering pump? I have bought 2 and they both have been too long. One of the ones that I bought works but it makes my engine squeal because there is too much slack in the belt.

You can get one that's slightly shorter, talk to the parts guy at a Napa or elsewhere, (hopefully someplace with actual parts guys and not just counter help!), there's a way to modify the part number to do so, but this can change between brands.

I recently replaced mine with a Gates 'Green Stripe' p/n:9440 Fit perfectly. This was for a 22RE.

I also replaced the other two at the same time.
Alternator: p/n 7345
A/C: p/n 9350 fwiw

I second cleaning up everything and seeing if that solves it. I replaced mine with Gates belts from Napa and all fit perfect.

If that doesn't work 22reperformance.com sells the Bando brands and say they fit perfect everytime for $11 a belt.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will go to Napa tomorrow and see what they have compared to mine. I was just surprised that two different stores gave me belts that dont fit correctly and I wanted to see if anyone else has had that problem.
