Power steering leak and A/C not working

New to me 94 2x4 109,000 miles. I purchased for 3K. Slapped some 31x10.5 Biridgestone AT's on it like a good Kool Aid drinker. I needed to make it look like a BOYS truck since it's a White SR5 with tan leather. A/c blows no cold air but light comes on and rpm's go up and can I hear what sounds like the compressor come on. Toyota dealer changd my oil today with e coupon that comes in the mail. He said my fluid leak is coming from the power steering. I knew that smell was not oil. I guess it's better than it being an oil leak right? He also told me the HEAD GASKET recall service was performed in 1998 !!! WOO HOO!! Along with the oil change and inspection they today replaced the tie rod relay per outstanding recall. Any common area were power steering might leak? Dealer siad they run dye to locate. Only thing they found that my truck needed was a flush of all fluids along with that leak. Should I just have freon added first to AC? May it be just a relay or maybe leak but they would notice if it's leaking after refill of freon I suppose. Prior owner said never bothered having it checked out. HE lived in WEST LA so it's not hot as the SG Valley where I live.

I'm also going to run some SEA FOAM. The first couple tanks I used 91 octane and noticed very occational pinging and what I now know to be the Injectors I then filled with 87 and noticed pinging at light throttle and under load. NOT good and got me worried that I may have purchased a lemon. My crappy VW's never pinged. They just ran rich I guess and burned lots of oil and sucked in general as far a reliability of aux components. Since tank was already full I put of bottle of Lucasoil octane booster and ping went away instantly. Got oil changed today and will like I said run the Sea Foam.

Anyway thanks for any replies with advice. Sorry for jumbled questions. Looking forward to my stay here in 4runner land. Oh and by the way the 3.0 slow is not all that bad. It goes ok. Only real slowness noticed was @ 3-4K feet going up steep switchbacks in local mountains on way to Burro Canyon Shooting Range. It didn't roll back down the hill so thats good It's no VW GTI VR6 like my crumpled copy in the driveway but it's not horrible. It likes the gasoline though ;0

for the steering leak i would check the steering gear box which is located directly under your air box on the front right of your engine bay.....check that first.....i just changed mine out

The power steering pump on my 95 SR leaks as well. Looks like its coming from the bottom or back of the pump somewhere.
I'll take it off and see if I can fix the leak, otherwise I'll get a reman pump for about $100.
My A/C worked a short while ago, when I checked it this morning, the light didn't come on. Probably check the fuse shortly.

The PS system is small - pump, resevoir, steering box, cooler.
It shouldn't be hard to follow the hoses from one to the other and locate the leak, if you look.

AC may be low on R134, you might try adding a can.
If it's too low the compressor will not go on, although the button will light up like it is working. In that case you'd have to over-ride the low press cutoff to make the compressor work to get the new R134 in.
