Power steering problems

i just replaced my pump after the other one had been leaking little by little for the past 6 months about two weeks ago after work it had leaked all over under my truck so i decided time to change it. took it out and put everything back just how i took it out. now i have no powersteering what so ever. im not sure what to do from here if i should just take it to a shop or (hopefully) you guys can help. yes i did put fluid in it. my owners manual said dexron II but they dont make it so i used Dexron III. any help would be appreciated.

Check the belt again and make sure it is super tight. Check all the stupid vacuum lines and make sure they are all in the right place.

Use M1 synthetic ATF for fluid, far superior to standard Dex III. It was designed for, and as a substitute for Dex III in, and for industrial applications (Allison Transmissions, etc...). Make sure nothing is binding (tie rod assembies, shock, idler, etc...). It helps if the tire pressures are up to ease operation.
