Power Steering Pump HELP!!!

The woodruff key cracked when i pulled off the pulley, were the hell do i get a new one? The new pump doesnt have one, you are suppose to reuse the old one

You could try to weld the broken one together or make a new one. The Dealer may have one, but you probably have to special order it.

Unfortunatly I obly have half of it, I just found some online at autozone but they are not metric sizes

Try a hardware store, or just use the half you've got. They've got all kinds of automotive stuff at Ace hardware. Find a close fit and make it work. Good luck.

the new pump should have came with a new key.
all that i have changed, have had a key.

try a different pump, maybe it fell out/was stolen, or they forgot to put it in the box.

I replaced my PS pump a few years back. Let me check if I still have the old part sitting around. If I do find it, it's yours for postage.

I guess ill go back to see if they forgot to put it in. Is it ok to drive it with it completely installed but not habe rhe pulley hooked up?

yeh you can drive it, you just wont have any assist.

I just realized i f....ed up i just got the dam woodruff key but just put power steering fluid into the pump and realized it says dextron ATF fluid on the cap, do i have to drain it and put ATF fluid in it?

it should work fine with PS fluid. you can generally run either or in the PS system.

Do you self a favor and use, or flush it with Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. Standard p/s fluid is garbage.
