Which ever one is cheaper or has a better warranty. They function the same and are very similar (if not the same) in construction.

Unless you get crazy with tire sizes, you will never break one anyways.

I had an aussie locker in the front of my 96 of 35s, and I loved it, and never broke a thing even though I wheeled the shit out of it.

well, since I know nothing I googled and found this:
Aussie vs. Powertrax? - JeepForum.com

hell if I know.

looks like a perennial debate:
power trax no slip vs. aussie locker - Google Search

4Runners have weak front axles. Jeeps have weak rear axles.

I would recommend against putting an auto locker in the front. It will not have very good road manners.

Either one will be a good choice for the rear. Whatever you feel more comfortable with. I have not verified this, but I have heard they are both private label and are made in the same factory.

I've got an Aussie locker on my '87.
I drive this truck more than any other in my "fleet", and besides a little clicking on sharp, slow speed turns, it is seamless.

I would highly recommend one.

For the front IFS, a limited slip is better for on the road.

so i have concluded that because i drive on the road more often than not i should get the no slip due to the superior road manors.

For the front IFS, a limited slip is better for on the road.

thats exactly what i was thinking. i dont want to put any locker in the font due to all of the broken cv horror storys. im thinking ill leave the front end open and when its time to re gear, ill throw a gear type(ive heard clutch type are horible) lsd up front for a little extra traction.
