power up down windows

hey guys i have a quick question about the auto power up/down windows. Auto down has been around for awhile but only recently have they installed auto up for safety reasons. During the auto-up, if something is in the way of the window rolling up, will the window stop and roll back down like a garage door?

i experimented and auto-rolled the windows back up and hit the top of the window with a big force, but the window kept goin up! what if my fingers are there one day?

It's supposed to have a pinch protection so that if it senses that something is blocking the path, it doesn't keep going. Personally, I've not tried it because I've just not thought about it.

You may have something out of adjustment for it.

It will roll back down, at least the driver's side and the rear windows will. I tested it using my wallet. They hit and then went down. I was not brave enough to use my fingers. It may break them...just won't chop 'em off.

I know that's absolutley true on the rear. I had something in the way (not on purpose), did not realize it till the wife pointed it out, but by the time I could do something about it the SUV reacted and let the window down. Cool feature.

It works alright

The drivers side for sure has the safety feature , I 'm not sure of the other windows. I have the "in track" style of side window deflectors. The window would NOT stay up until I sprayed some silicone on the deflector edge. Then after helping it up it would stay. It doesn't seem to take much of a force to stop it and make it drop down.
