My passenger side power window started having problems going up. Down worked fine but up was intermittent. Finally this last Wednesday it stopped going up at all.
I got into the door and took voltage readings and the motor is definitely receiving the 12v for up and down, so it must be the motor.
I took the Motor/regulator out of the door and being a knuckle-head I took the three screws out that hold the motor to the regulator. BOING!!! The spring went flying.
I took just the motor over to the door and plugged it back in. I would drive in one direction but not the other. I kept playing with it and after running it in the one direction for a bit it started going the other way too. The motor seems to be working perfectly again.
I want to try putting it back together to see what happens before I decide to buy a replacement motor.
Anyone know how to get that spring and regulator arm attached back with the motor correctly?

sometimes the little contacts in the switch can be corroded. Carefully take the switch apart and use a pencil eraser to clean the contacts until they are shiny, might be worth a try...

Not the problem if the motor get's the 12V up/down.

I've usually been able to fix the motor by just tearin' it apart and lube it abit up aswell. (just little bit...)
Sometimes the little "gear wheel" is damaged but it shouldn't be your case as it goes down...


Also, clean the contacts on the rotor (I think it's called that... lol) in the motor (it rymes, h0h0h0).

Also, remember the friggin relay and sensors are a pain in da a$$ sometimes.
I've been tryin' to do a kit to replace all of that orginal stuff with something more simple and more durable, just need to find more time to finish it.
