I have a 2003 V6 4Runner. Since our boy Hurricane Ike is headed our way, I went to fill up my tank at lunch. The gas station was out of all but premium gas, so I filled up with that although I normally just use regular unleaded.
As soon as I headed down the road, my Check Engine light and the VSC and TRAC OFF lights all came on. The truck is running fine, but I am bit freaked out by it. I made sure that the gas cap is on tightly. I am concerned that I might have gotten water or sediment in the gas since I can't imagine that premium gas would cause such a thing. The truck has never had any of these lights go on the past.
A few friends told me to put gasoline anti-freeze or de-icer in the tank in case I got water in the gas. Any suggestions. I have to head out of town since we are directly in the path of some really nasty winds, but I don't want to mess up my engine.
