premium --> ISR

No, the ISR mod simply removes a part of the air intake that muffles the sound and replaces it with a straight piece of tubing theoretically giving you better air flow. There is absolutely no reason you'd require premium fuel.

I only ran the ISR mod for a few days until the noise just annoyed me, I didn't notice an improvement in performance or anything. Some that's had the ISR mod done longer term may be able to chime in with a firsthand account, but I haven't heard of the pinging issue.

i did it and ran it for about a day till my check engine light came on. i didnt feel any gain nor was there a sound different. i wouldnt do this mod cuse its not worth doing.

i did the ISR mod about 2 weeks ago...

HATED it...

at WOT the sound is sooo annoying and it just sounds cheap...

the increased sound at about 2000 rpm and then again at 4000rpm is just the air resonating through the intake...

its not the engine breathing better.. IF ANYTHING, THIS RESONATING AIRFLOW HAMPERS YOUR ENGINE...

needless to say, i replaced the silencers...

I have had my isr mod done for about 6 months now.

I am happy with it.
But to each his own.

The deckplate mod makes it sound loader.
When the Deckplate is in I don't even notice the isr.

but again to each his own.
eventually i will just be taking off the stock intake and putting something else a little more solid on
