Premium package??

Hey guys this is my first post. I Just bought a 2015 SR5 yestetday. I declined the premium package but the dealer gave me until tomorrow morning to decide. It costs, with military discount, $1849. If anyone bought it, is this what you guys paid? Is it worth it?? Or waste of money?? Thank s in advanced.

The premium package includes a few upgrades such as Softex seating, navigation, turn signals in mirrors and the sun/moonroof. I don't see how they can sale you the premium package without you getting a different vehicle. Most of the non-premiums that I've seen had the upgraded stereo with navigation. My guess is that's an $800-1000 option at most. You may need to explain what they mean by "premium package" to get more accurate responses.

SR5 vs SR5Premium has a $2500 difference, and it is NOT a "port install" option.

The car has to come over here either "Premium" or not from Japan.

As [MENTION=116029]meltdown[/MENTION] said, the "SR5Premium" has quite a few VERY NICE features (that are not easily upgradeable).
- sunroof
- softtex seats
- entune with nav and apps
- garage opener

And IMO, totally worth it!! I personally, wouldn't want it other ways.

Seats with premium package are also heated. One dealer I saw had converted the seats of a sr5 and used a similar button but did not place it in the blanks where they belong. There were also just on on off rather than a dial. Don't be fooled. If you're gonna get a "premium" make sure it is the actual SR5P not a SR5 with some upgrades. I love the features of my premium. I'm not sure if the SR5 mirrors come standard with heat I think that's a premium option along with the signals. I also noticed a front windshield wiper defroster (this may or may not be standard).

You should be certain whether this is a TOYOTA (extended) warranty, or an aftermarket one.

If it's Toyota, it's good anywhere, if it's not Toyota run away. As to whether to buy any wty, that's your call.

Also, if it's Toyota, you can buy it anywhere (some places discount it) while you're still within your oem wty.

The value of the Toy EW is open to much debate, some do it some don't. It's simply an optional insurance pkg, no more no less.

If so that is the ToyotaCare warranty and its good for 8 years.

If you have a Limited, you have perforated cow leather. If you have an SR5 Premium or Trail Premium, you have Softex.

Depends on which MODEL YEAR. You comment is only true for 2015 (and if the truck is direct from the factory; ie. the dealer did not fiddle around with it).

I doubt very seriously you are going to find dealers ripping out the Softex to put in real leather. The ROI just isn't there.

I purposely did not buy a Trail Premium because I don't want the fake leather. I don't think it will hold up over time but that's my opinion. Nothing more. I wanted a sunroof and was sort of pissed that Toyota decided I have to have fake leather in order to get a sunroof.

Yes it is not real leather, but from various reports, these are supposed to be more durable than real leather. And they were being used extensively on Lexus.

I guess, we'll see.....
