Prices I am being offered on a 2011 Limited- your input needed

Ok, so I am in the market for the following configuration of the T4R

2011 T4R Limited
Navigation
Running Boards
Alloy wheel locks
Third Row

I have two dealers so far who have offered me two prices that I would like to get your opinion on.
Both of these prices are without the tax, tags and title

1) $39550
2) $39668

Do let me know. Do I have room to negotiate?

Do you "have room to negotiate"? Yes, you do, probably another $1K - the real question is "will they"?

Only way to find out for sure is to whip out your checkbook and offer them $38,500 here and now --- and be ready to walk. If you're close, and serious, they'll be calling you. The end of the month is supposedly the best time to negotiate - IDK.

You said "Well it looks like the sticker is 43669". Don't you know? This should be the Toyota Factory sticker, not one made up by the dealer.

Lastly, if at all possible, keep your present car out of the deal.

Have another similar question, how difficult is it for a dealer to get specific option vehicle? I doubt Toyota does "special order" but suspect they make enough to have what I want somewhere (unfortunately not at any of my 5 local dealers).

I'm looking for a '11 4Runner Limited 4WD, Blue ext./Black int., w/ Nav, and that's it.

I think that would be very common. I def. saw a leftover 2010 when I purchased my leftover that had the same exact specs. I would believe that would be the most common configuration on all Limited models... Color being the harder part I'd think.

Stopped at another dealer that had the correct color combo but his had the slide out tray (I don't want it). They tried to tell me they come with either the 3rd row seats or the tray. Personally I think that's dealer BS.....

I have dogs that will ride in the back, don't want any crevices or objects they might get tangled up in while we're driving.

ChetJ, that really sounds like a good quote you're getting, might just take a drive to your dealer....

No, that's true. Page 4 of the ordering guide shows that a requirement of the Nav on the Limited is that you either have the Cargo Deck or the Third Row.

For what it's worth, I have a limited with the sliding cargo tray. I've had mixed feelings about it, but after a few months, it's growing on me.

Add the husky liner with a few spots of velcro (stick the hook side of the velcro to the underside of the mat, it will then stick to the carpet), and the mat won't go anywhere and will prevent the dogs from getting tangled.

You might find that you don't mind the tray as much as you think.

Don't think that's the case for the '11s. When you "build" a 4Runner Limited w/ Nav, the sliding cargo deck is optional and the 3rd row is a package that's not required.

Imacarguy, the Shoreline Blue is a rarer color, so you'll have a harder time finding one especially if you're not flexible with the options. If your local dealers won't or can't find you one, expand your search area. I drove 325 miles to a dealer in Rogers, AR for mine. You can always do a preference request (search the forum for info on that) if your dealer is willing to do it.

Some more of the Shoreline Blue folks may want to weigh in here as well.

Some wiggle room...I laid out $38,900 for a Blue Ltd 4X w/Nav, Crossbars, Exhaust Tips, slider tray. Didn't have boards but found a set on this org for $250 delivered. But had to travel to get it. If you've got one nearby for that price, I'd take it.
