Hello all-
I was wondering if anybody here could offer some insight for pricing a pretty clean and well-maintained 1986 4Runner. Some history: I am the second owner and live in Nashville. My brother bought it new in New Jersey then sold it to me for 6k with 60k miles in 1996. Since I have owned it, I have replaced or repaired just about everything but the motor. In 2000, my brother-in-law/body shop owner replaced its frame (rusting out from Jersey salt roads) with a Toyota truck frame (with minor mod to fit), painted it black (was red), installed transmission, brakes, struts, pads, etc. I paid approx 7k for this work because I loved the truck and intended to keep it for a while. She now has 147k miles, still runs great (never been off-road), has had regular maintenance, and needs a new owner. The limited research I've done shows vintage 4runner prices anywhere from $750-$3500. A little confusing and overwhelming. I don't want to gouge anybody but I don't want to give it away either. Any thoughts? Thanks!
