Pricing an 86 4Runner

Hello all-
I was wondering if anybody here could offer some insight for pricing a pretty clean and well-maintained 1986 4Runner. Some history: I am the second owner and live in Nashville. My brother bought it new in New Jersey then sold it to me for 6k with 60k miles in 1996. Since I have owned it, I have replaced or repaired just about everything but the motor. In 2000, my brother-in-law/body shop owner replaced its frame (rusting out from Jersey salt roads) with a Toyota truck frame (with minor mod to fit), painted it black (was red), installed transmission, brakes, struts, pads, etc. I paid approx 7k for this work because I loved the truck and intended to keep it for a while. She now has 147k miles, still runs great (never been off-road), has had regular maintenance, and needs a new owner. The limited research I've done shows vintage 4runner prices anywhere from $750-$3500. A little confusing and overwhelming. I don't want to gouge anybody but I don't want to give it away either. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Used Toyota 4X4 prices vary greatly depending on location. Here in the mid-Atlantic they're kinda low, in the PNW they're very high.

Some examples, I just picked up an 89 in really good shape, a little fender rust but a solid frame (rare for this area), but a bad engine knock (needs a short block). I paid $1000 cause it's in such good shape, it would have been $1500 if the engine ran OK.

Five years ago I paid $900 for my 84, again really good shape, a little more fender rust, again a solid frame, needed a carb rebuild.

If the frames had the rust problems normal for this area they'd have been a lot less.

In your area I'd guess $1500-2000, maybe 2500 if it's in really good shape as you say.
