Yes very low. The sunroof won't tilt up as its ever so slightly blocked by the fairing.

Thanks for the pic, I don't have a sunroof, but mine is closer than that all along the whole curve of the fairing. If Zach is that precise with the engineering then kudos to him!
I think I'll add another washer though.

I don't have a torx set, can somebody confirm that it's a Torx T30 head? Rather just buy the single adapter for my ratchet rather than the whole set.

Can anyone who ordered a full length 5th gen rack confirm the number of cross bars they received? Also, were the plates that run the length of the roof slightly bow'ed? Can't tell if they got tweaked in shipping or what? I'd reach out to Zach, but it sounds like he still has a bunch on his plate finishing up the last of GB.

My box arrived split like that as well, although not quite that much. I haven't opened it up yet, but I didn't see any apparent damage. Planning on installing the next dry day

T-30 is indeed the correct torx drive

Yea, the side plates were slightly bowed. Its not a problem cause once you start bolting in the cross bars they will straighten out.

Ended up contacting Zach. Guess mine were indeed tweaked by UPS. I tried bolting some cross bars up, and they mostly straightened out. Zach offered to replace them ASAP, but I'd hate to see a small outfit like him take the hit from UPS' poor job, I'm going to see if I can make them work.

I got in on this at the very tail end so I figure I still have some waiting to do. Fingers crossed UPS doesn't eff up my rack like they did my Northstar battery from the fall GB.

You'll all really enjoy the rack - I've had the full length on for about 6 months now and it's been everywhere from Anza Borrego to the Grand Canyon from Los Angeles, nothing but praise and it's rock solid (I check it before and after every trip)

Have you tried standing on it? if so, did you add a platform? or just stood on the cross bars it self.

Personally I've never tried standing on it - but lots of owners on TacomaWorld probably have. I'd feel better if there was a flat platform if you planned on standing on it for an extended period of time. The cross bars are only connected to the main rails by 4 short screws on the ends. Plenty of strength if the weight is dispersed over a few rails, but not if you just jump on a single cross bar.

one more question, how about wind noise on the highway? Saw some post saying they can hear wind noise, while others don't.

I've got the full fairing (no cutout) with the 'noise reducing edge trim' - I've got zero noticeable wind noise. I ordered a second fairing with a cutout to run a Baja Designs single row up there but haven't gotten around to changing it out, not sure if that would introduce any new noises.

By looking at it, the main culprit for any noise would be wind traveling underneath the corners of the front fairing - but because there is now a tight seal there from the edge trim, there is none. I'd say if you didn't order yours with it, definitely do something that serves the same purpose.

100% agree with this, have the fairing without cut out and not noise reducing trim, I have not noticed any noticeable noise from the rack.

Mine arrived today. My carton was split like the other folks here recently. The retired part-time packaging designer in me suggests staggering the crossbars so they overlap instead of all at one end so the corrugated splits.
