Pro Clip GPS mount for vent - which one

I see that Pro Clip has 2 different mounts that will work on the 07 4R (no nav system), one that looks like it clips into the air vent at top and bottom and covers the complete vent and one that snaps under the outer trip at each side of the vent and leaves some vent area open. Which one have you used and how good does it work? I have a garmin nuvi 760 to use with it.

we had a proclip vent mount for our 2k 4runner.

we used it to mount a very large alpine blackbird gps.

i hated it... it made the vent useless.

i loved the position just hated that it blocked the airflow.

of course, the blackbird gps is huge... but still hated it.

i prefer to mount the gps on the drivers side windshield.

Haven't used either, but check out Bracketron. Similar to Pro Clip but they have a few different mounting solutions. I purchased a nice windshield mount from them bcz I didn't like the Pro Clips options for the 4Runner.

Kind of a different route, but I got a suction cup mount for my EVO, which I use for navigation as well, and I put it on the flat part of my dash, right above and to the right of the cup holders and it works awesome. It's out of the way and I don't have to run a power cord up to my dash. It's nice and clean and the suction cup fits perfect in that space.
