2010 SR5 Mag Gray 4x4
On 1/11 I had 285/70/17 duratracs mounted up to procomp
7005 17x8 0mm offset. Wheel Part#7005-7883.
Honestly the 7033 or ATX Mojave were next in line, and I'd really like to see that wheel mounted up.
Not sure if you've seen the Ballistic wheels yet? They make one called the Jester which they have in 17x9 as well. It might or might not suite your taste, just makin' sure you know about it.
My rig:
side view *so you have a reference point, my coils aren't turned all the way down just yet. when fully cranked i would be approx 1/2" taller. I'm very happy w/ the stance.
side view - ultimate 3" lift w/ silver springs and total chaos uppers - 5100's front and back.
view from right rear - ** w/ the -6 offset and 17.9" I believe you will produde just over an inch further than I do from the outside fender. **wheel/tire experts please correct me if I'm wrong
I've had to trim a good bit, and still have some left to address. I haven't had to "cut" anything on vehicles in at least 10yrs, so I was a bit nervous about trimming. If your not familiar w/ the process, I used sheet metal sheers (agressive scissors - $15 @ ACE Hardware), a utility knife, and dremel wheel to trim/clean things up. If you bump into any issues I'm happy to provide as much additional info as to where I had to cut if you find it necessary to ask.
In approx 1wk of driving my MPG is right at 17.4 - down from 19.8. I'm learning to change up my driving habits a little, as I'm coming from an 05 Accord V6 EX, which is a little quicker... I'm on the highway 90% of the time during the week. I do tend to keep a heavy foot at times though. I'm in Arizona and run my PSI at 40 all around and the ride is very smooth. I'm thinking about bumping my PSI to 45 to see if I gain MPG's. I realize I might wear the tire slightly faster by doing this, if 45 is too much.
As to the tires - I've always owned BFG's A/T or M/T's and have always been happy. I decided to change things up w/ the Duratrac and I'm glad I did. I do get a nice hum from the road but it's nothing I'm not comfortable with,
and I this is my daily 400mi/mo vehicle.
Post up pics when you're done w/ the install.
**BTW: If I had it all over to do again, I wouldn't be unhappy w/ a Silver. Your setup will look really good.
