Problem after air bag recall work

Took it to a dealer yesterday for the air bag recall. Now my rear window switch in the center console does not work. The window works OK with the key in back. They left a lower panel slightly loose too.
I think the service rep got too rough while iin there.

Anyone know which panels to remove to let me check the wiring connectors? I plan to disconnect the battery for safety but would like to save another half day at the dealer.

That center plastic shroud just pops up, then you can get to and see any connectors

Hey Bob,

You won't need this whole thread to find your 'Tailgate window harness', but if you look at pic #1, #2, #3, (and #6) it shows the harness location of the wiring connector and switch to the tailgate window; the other pic #4, is just the 4WD knob connector! They forgot to plug the switch back in. I do that about 1 out of every 3 times I have the top of the console off. Just grab the console top at the rear cupholder, pinch it hard between your fingers, and lift forcefully upward. It'll come loose, then just pop it up the rest of the way around. The harness is tethered to the right side, top, back; you'll easily see the plug hanging down on the right side and can reinstall it. Don't raise the front too much as the 4WD control wiring is there (SR5 models).

Problem fixed thanks to this forum and [MENTION=83083]rigtec[/MENTION], [MENTION=132734]MeefZah[/MENTION] and [MENTION=139892]FrenchToasty[/MENTION]

They all suggested checking the plug at the switch in the center. I did not want to, I wanted to know where the panels were to remove the airbags. Looked around could not find anything.

I pulled the center plastic panel to find the connector was unplugged as suggested. -- Thanks for the quick help.

I don't even know why they would have taken that center out to do the recall. It can be popped up and slid back to get to the center dash mounting bolts.

And don't worry, when mine came back from the recall I found at least 7 clips not seated correctly; from the dash to the black sil plate covers. Dealer gets none of my business, nor do I have anything nice to say about them
