So, I think I am an idiot and I want to know how much damage I caused to my car.
Last night, I was backing out of a parking spot in my 2001 4Runner (automatic) and didn't let the transmission engage before accelerating. The Runner jerked and then died.
Now everytime I turn it on, it idles a little, then powers down. I am going to get the battery checked this evening.
Anyone have an idea of what I may have down. Thrown a rod, trashed the transmission or is just a battery/alternator issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
