Problem with rear LC shocks

I just recently put a lift on my T4R and I am using 8 wraps and OEM LC Tokico shocks in the rear. I'm experiencing a clucking noise, and I thought it was because I didnt have the washers around the bushings installed, but they are on there now and there is the same clunking noise. There is play between the top of the shock and the mount, but it cant be bolted down any tighter, so it is still loose and moving around. I know a lot of guys here are running LC rear shocks, but it almost appears the shock is too long for the top mount. Any ideas?

Yeah thats what I was thinking...think it was make it a little bouncy though?

Mine came with 2 bushings for the top. One below the mount and one above. With the washers installed it should fit pretty snug

I figured it out dudes. Ordered the wrong washers. Nut was compressing back through the bushing:bash:

Mind if I hijack your thread? I've got a problem with the bushing on my left shock disappearing. Everytime I go wheeling I lost the bushing on the left shock above the mount. The set up I have from the top down is nut, washer, bushing, washer, body mount, washer bushing, then the permanent washer that's attached to the shock. What confuses me is the other side is set up the same way with no problems. I've gone through 3 bushings already at 4 bucks a piece. I don't understand how it gets ripped off. Any ideas?

It's driving me crazy. And now its making the clanking sound that you had and the nut is on it to tight. When I try and loosen it, it turns the whole shaft. And there isn't enough room up there for me to get some pliers clamped on the top and a wrench on the nut to loosen it. Once I figure out a way to get it off I really don't want to do it again

I have that same problem! Thought I was the only one! haha. I hear that same clanking noise. And I tightened the nut tight onto the bushing, but the bushing still spins. And the bottom bushing got pushed down too far somehow and it covers the little lip that holds on the shock boot. Now the boot just hangs there. I need to find a day to get under there and jack it up and really try to fix it. Definitely annoying knowing that its just not right
