Problem with the leather seats

I noticed today that the passenger seat back leather is starting to bunch up. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a big deal?

I've never seen a leather seat wear like that before. I'd take it in to get looked at. It could be a flaw in the way it was put together.

I think it is a manufacturing flaw. I have only had the 4Runner for 2 months.

that is wierd...any chance it got wet? say by leaving sunroof open on a rainy day?

Nope. I am guessing it will not be an easy fix since there is an airbag in there.

My 4Runner is over a year old and all I do is wipe the seats down with a wet towel, they don't look like that, I would take it to the dealer and complain about it, if anything you can get several bottles of Lexol, leather cleaner and conditioner form the dealer for free

I dont think the leather was fitted correctly on the seat. The best would be to get a replacement seat under warranty, I wouldn't trust any dealer to try and fix that. Rather get a new one and have them ship this one back to the factory.

Never liked the 4R leather look. Everything looks to loose. I've always had sports cars so I'm used to tightly wrapped leather. That's what I'm gonna get once I tear through my stock cloth a bit more.
