Hi everyone! I generally consider myself a car guy and not afraid to tackle a repair on my 2000 4runner 2 WD Limited. Well it needed new rotors and front pads and bought parts to replace. In the process of replacing rotors I made the mistake and separated the caliper rather than simply disconnecting the entire rotor. When caliper was separated of course brake fluid flowed out. I have put everything back together and verified seals at caliper joint are tight, but now I cannot get front brakes to bleed. When caliper was separated the master cylinder fluid never dropped below minimum level.
I am at a loss on how to get fluid back to calipers. I have tried repeatedly performing the 2 person brake bleed method with no success. I even removed the brake line from caliper and nearly no fluid came our while depressing pedal. I have also cracked master cylinder line to front to release air. I read many threads on here about bleeding brakes and some mention having key in the "on" position, is this the key to bleeding the brakes on this vehicle?
