Problems

First of all, My rear Diff is leaking fluid. The seals were broken so I had them replaced about 4-5 months ago. The other day, I was down under my truck and noticed its happening agian. The Mechanic said my axels could be bad... and that it cost about $800 to replace them. Any other idea on what could be causing my seals to break?

Second, I opened the cap on top of my radiator and as I did, the very end of the cap broke off and fell inside... What a mess. I dont think its big enough to slip down between the cores inside the radiator, But then agian I can't see it some I'm not sure. I haven't run the truck yet except for about 30 seconds. (This happened about 30 mins ago). How serious of a problem is this? What do you think I should do?

Thanks

as far as your diff, check you breather cap? its located left of the diff and stick above the axle about 2 inches, it lets air go in and out... if it is clogged then pressure builds up and blows seals..

as far as the radiator, not a big deal, you could drain the coolant and pull the lower radiator hose and try and flush the pice out... or just let it stay and get chewed up in pieces by the water pump...

Doh!

I think it'll be fine, but I would drain and flush to be safe... The rear diff breather is probably the culprit, i'm extending my breather this week too, i've had my seals go bad twice within 30K miles...
