Professional fuel injector cleaning?

My 99' just hit 165k and I've had it since March. Since I bought it I've changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, removed and cleaned T-body and IAC valve (replaced both gaskets). I also ran a bottle of Toyota fuel injector cleaner through it.

At times it seems to idle a little rough and has the occasional hard warm start. Also, I average around 16.5 mpg's with the 265/75 Duratrac's with mostly higway driving.

My neighbor works at a local indi shop that specializes in Toyota's and recommended a fuel injection cleaning service that costs around $110.

Is this service worth it or should I let it be? I have no idea if the have ever been cleaned in the past.

I have used Cruzin Performance for injector cleaning. Good cheap work and pretty fast turn around.

I have found with the last two sets of injectors I sent out (they were Honda injectors) did not need to be cleaned. The first set had 85K on them and they had the same flow rate before and after. The other set had 180K on them with the same results.

I have an 03 and when I hit 110,000 I had this service done on mine and I found that it made a profound difference in cutting out the roughness that I was feeling in acceleration, as well it did buy me about 3 more miles per gallon. That said in my humble opinion it is worth the dollars for this service, however if anyone out there has done this themselves I would like to hear how it works and the costs involved.
