project 1988 has commenced

so i just bought a 1988 toyota sr5 efi 3vze v6 pickup. the frame does not have any rust holes or rust spots. but the real problem is the engine i took a random spark plug out and looked inside of the cylinder and i see fuel and smell it. i couldn't get a good look in the cylinder but i did see a puddle. i took the dip stick out and smelt the oil on it and it smelt like gas. the battery was dead so i couldn't get it to turn over. the radio air climate control and the door light does not work but the lights work except the fount turn signals. the plug that goes into the coil was siliconed in but falling out. the distributer looked great on the inside. the fuse box on the inside the fuses were corroded. the sunroof rubber seal is shot other than that its the best 500$ iv spent so far. i can use all the help i can get. ill constantly keep you guys updated and whats going on and ask a crap load of Q'S.

What are you plans for it? Trail rig? Daily driver? Shouldn't be too hard to source parts for it. I've seen a lot worse. My first build was an '88p/u that I still have. Wheeled the snot out of it for 10+ years. Couldn't let it go so I kept it for my son to beat up on the trail. Anyway, Chances are you're probably gonna pull the engine apart to rebuilt so a lot of the issues that you mentioned will be addressed at that time.

My plan it to make her a daily driver but later on build up for trail but for the hour I looked at the engine I don't think it's a junker. If it gets to the point were I have to get a new engine does any one have a 3vze that works like a carm.
