HAVENT TAKEN A WHOLE LOTTA PICS, BUT THE TRANSMISSION IS BACK FROM THE TRANNY SHOP. IT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY GONE THRU AND REBUILT. ITS A C6 TRANS.

AND HERE IS WHATS GOING ON IN THE ENGINE BLOCK

Looking good. The C6 is the first trans I tore into. Not too hard to rebuild.

I saw on the Web where some guy restored a 1960 f100 and decided to install a Cat diesel engine in it.

Well I have been slacking on the pics, but I will try to step my game up on that. I finally decided on a paint and body guy, and this past weekend I dropped the truck off at his shop.

WOW! They did a great job polishing all the trim and grill! I think the trim and grill on my '69 is too sand blasted to get it polished like that. Plus, I will have to replace some pieces as well.

thanks. Yes, I'm pretty happy with the results. Now I just gotta order the pieces that he wasn't able to repair or that were already in need of replacement. You never know what these guys can restore, take a few pics to get a quote, they will let you know if they can get it back to looking good.

Very cool. I'm coveting the idea of a classic pickup. I wonder if it's harder to find parts (aftermarket/ performance, etc) for the f100 compared to c10s. What you think?
