Just go with a projector housing to start with. A set of projectors, bulbs, and ballasts, not to mention a wiring harness on top of which are going to run you around the tune of $600, and that's if you do it yourself. If you botch the job or don't like your results, you're now out of a set of housings which will run about 215/ea (OEM). A sourced out retrofitter may end up charging you $500+ for this job, and you'll be without you lights for a week or two.
Just my .02 but I'd go with new OEM projector housings with an HID kit or a really good bulb such as a HOEN.

HID bulbs do not last long enough. Check out the prices that bulb replacements will cost you before you make you discission. You may change your mind.

My first set of HID's are still going strong and I got them over two years ago, when I sold my 4Runner I sold them to my best friend and he put them in his civic, and they're as good as new..Bourbon City said:
If you buy a cheap-o $50 kit off Ebay, yeah those won't last long at all. But if you buy a decent kit they will last quite a while and many companies have warranties anyways...

I had Philips ballasts and bulbs in previous 1999 Honda Accord, i installed them back in 1999 when HID kit first came out. until i totaled the Accord in March, the Philips kit still working, which means it's been serving me for 9 whole years.

well they do make some aftermarket projector housings, like the one from xenonbepot or ebay. just a thought.

You can get the headlights for a reasonable price on eBay. I bought one for a total of $50 and the other was $30. The wiring harness can be found on Innovative Wiring's website, you just need to tell Gary that you want a female H11 socket to a 9006 male end. They run $25 + S/H. The filler panels under the lights can be had for $24.90 each from parts.com, or you can try rockauto.com for $17.21 each supposedly. You'll need new H11 bulbs for the headlights and other misc. bulbs in the housing itself. So total you're looking at $100 for the lights, $30ish for the harness, $60ish for the trim, and whatever for the bulbs, which brings it to just under $200 without the new bulbs. Not a bad price considering those ricey looking projectors from eBay with the LEDs in them run close to $180.
Its your choice on what you want to go with. Personally, I'm trying to amass all the parts for the factory projector install right now. I don't like the look of the other projector headlights. If you need any part numbers for the above mentioned, just ask. Good luck.

I have the 2006+ projectors because it came w/ the vehicle, but if I didn't have it, I wouldn't bother getting them.
Because they are expensive, the projection isnt that great & the beam pattern isn't sharp.
I would do a retrofit. I've done a TSX projector retrofit on a Lexus SC300 before.
And I'm sure you want them to look OEM like nothing was done to it...I'm the exact way!!

I would do a full retrofit, you will not be dissapointed. I just aligned my TSX and it looks insane. You will never get same results with 2006+ headights.
