This might be a stupid question but whats the difference? Just a stronger light, different look to the bulb?

if it's equipped with HID's the light will be much brighter and projected farther. it also looks cool!

That is the same type of light they put on the GX470. It is supposed give off the same amount of light as 5 halogen lights. I don't know if it is true, but that is what I read in a magazine.

Projectors just give a better beam pattern, so while it doesn't put out more light in the most basic sense, it does put out more usable light.

This is only, of course, if its a well-designed projector. Toyota reflectors are some of the best as far as reflectors go, so a poorly designed projector will only be about the same as the reflector. I don't know how good the reflectors are in older toyotas though, I'm just speaking in present-day terms.

No they're not. Just regular projectors.

Not without tearing them out and doing some fabrication - like my lights. I'm working on a writeup for how to do that now.

what i am wondering is how they fit the projectors in there since the '89-'94 pick-ups and '90-'95 runners have very little clearence behind the headlights.
