I paid $1000 less for mine seven years ago with 25,000 less miles.:violin:

That's too funny. I got in a fight with another user because I posted a link of a 4Runner at my work a month ago. It was a 2002 Sport with around 110k on the OD if I remember correctly. He was adamant that the $10,995 was asking WAY too much and the dealership was way overpriced. Glad to see my vindication!! Lol

lol wtf... expensive...

now I feel like I undersold my second gen. I was.asking $5500, got $5000.... bought it for $1800

For 13k I'd buy a quad cab Tacoma! I looked for months at both 3rd gens and trd tacomas and couldn't justify the extra 3-4-5k for the same exact rig with a short bed in the back. It's almost stupid what tacomas get!

To this day I don't understand it lol either tacos are WAY overpriced or 4runners are WAY underpriced...

Ha ha just had this conversation with a taco owner that paid 13,500 for his taco for the same drivetrain I got in my 3rd gen. And I paid 4200.

Putting a buy it now on it does not make it worth that much. You can put a buy it now of $25k. It does not make '3rd gens worth $25k..

That tuck will not likely get more than half the asking price.

But if anyone thinks 3rd gens are worth north of 10k..... PM me, mine is for sale and in great condition. :decision:

The reserve is $12,900, but I guess our chiding here made the high bidder pull back their bid.

Maybe they found the S/C deal more appealing.

Wow, that thing looks clean! 3rd gens are especially expensive here in Northern California. I paid well over $10k for mine recently, with 77k miles.

I recently convinced myself I needed a truck. I already went through this 2yrs ago when I bought my Runner. Searched or quad-cab Tacos, and just couldn't bring myself to pay that kind've $. Heck, you can buy a Tundra cheaper than you can buy a Taco. I found a 1-owner 03 Tundra access cab TRD for $9k. In the end I just decided to keep my Runner.

Same motor, same transmission, same axle, same FRAME!

I have a few buddies with Tacos and all they can say is "I don't know man, guys love trucks." Not to say I wouldn't mind having a quad cab taco but that small bed in the back no way near worth an extra 5-6k to me. I don't know about other parts of the country but out here people spend 1,000's OVER kbb for bone stock high mileage tacos.
