I am thinking of using a clay bar to get the slippery smooth feel on the paint. I have never used one before. How do I use one??
Proper Claybar techniques??

Just spray the detailer that comes with it so that the surface is well lubricated. Then slide the clay up and down, overlapping each stroke by about 50%. Then just wipe that area down until it's dry, and do the next section. Do it in small sections like when you wax.
After you use a clay bar, you will want to do 2 things. 1. Apply a sealer/glaze. 2. Apply a coat of wax.
The clay bar removes everything. Not only contaminants, but the wax you had on there, so your paint will be naked if you don't do those 2 steps afterwards.

My recommendation is the following:
Soap car then rinse.
Use fresh soap to act as lubrication for the clay (dipping the clay in soap and claying section by section)
Rinse soap off vehicle when complete and dry.
Apply Wax (as stated by josh, clay removes wax)
My opinion is the spray lubricant is unnecessary.
I detailed cars professionally for a while and this was the most efficient/effective technique.

Most clay bars will come with a detailing spray which will act as a lubricant.
Not all detailing sprays will work very well as a lubricant.
I ran out of the Griot's detailing spray, and opted to use the NXT detailing spray thinking it was the same - not even close.
You can use the soapy car wash solution, you still need to make sure you knead the clay bar which the particles stick onto, and you will need to wash the car down again to help get rid of any residue.
If you use the detailing spray method you spray, clay, and wipe - washing the car down again would be optional.
Not all detailing sprays will work very well as a lubricant.
