Does anyone know the best way to protect the front grill metal and badges on the 4R? My wife's 2004 deteriorated rapidly the first 6 months even though we had waxed it. We do get some magnesium chloride from the CO roads in the winter and sometimes washing may be delayed for several weeks or more due to freezing weather, etc.
There is more chrome on my 2006 Sport and for now I have applied Wheel Wax from Tire Rack. Have not had a chance to see if this is better than car wax. Has anyone had this problem and solved it? I'm not sure if the Toyota metal is chrome or some other material.
