Recently I took a 4x4 Basic Training class and the instructor said that at his website there is a blog where someone has detailed the steps for protecting your rig's body/paint from pin-stripping during off-roading.

The information is very interesting. Has anyone in this forum tried doing something like this?
The way to do it is using "flexible magnets" sold by McMaster (http://www.mcmaster.com/). I think it would be worth the shot and as for me, I would try attempting some more trails knowing I can somewhat protect the vehicle at least cosmetically. I know there is no absolute protection but "something is better than nothing".
