The exterior has to grow on me, I personally think the 470 is better looking but the interior is unmatched for the luxury SUV segment. Lexus outdoes themselves on the inside with all their cars. Particularly the 45k+ ones.

Are those xenon headlights yet or same ones found in 06 4R/Gx 470 Are they adaptive?

these are adapative autoleveling HIDS. The non premy gx 460 does not have this.

The exterior looks like the LX's little brother, took a little getting used too, love it now. The 460 looks shorter then the 470 (it acually is slightly shorter approx 1" but looks more). There is no such thing as a $45K GX460 (maybe used). The price increase is well worth the added hardware and features. The engine and trans/susp alone is almost worth the difference. The degree of luxury is amazing!

My wife will be the primary driver of the vehicle and she didn't want that big a vehicle. We both felt the GX was more refined. The GX gets half way decent gas mileage, the LC's 5.7 is a gas monster.

gx and LX for sure look alike on the road in the front at a distance. I cant tell you how many times i get excited to see another Lexus GX only to see it turns out to be the monster LX when it drives by.

Yes the hid option is available on non premy versions, but its standard on the premy

Congrats on the 460! I still need to find a reason to change our 470 or to add the 460to the garage (3 drivers in the house, currently there's 4 cars in our possession, only a 2 car garage home) :frog: . Then again we are kinda considering the 5th gen 4R or the 6th Gen BMW 5 series hehe
