pulling to the right in 4wd

I own a 1999 LTD with a front ARB locker.
The last snow we had I put the truck into 4wd( just the awd version by pushing the button) and I noticed it began to pull to the right while driving. This only happens when it is in 4wd mode. 2wd it drives straight as an arrow.
any ideas?

take your CVs (front axles) and swap them side to side -put the left one on the right and the right on the left. if the problem follows ie the pull now goes to the left you have a bad CV axle. the other thing it could be is a bad ADD tube bearing.

-i just went through this whole mess chasing this issue down. if i had not just swapped the CVs with another set(old spares and one was also bad) but done the side to side swap it would of found this a lot sooner with a lot less hassle.

-how long has it been sense you did a drain and fill on your front diff? did you regear when you put your ARB up front?

It was not re geared. The CVs were replaced wit OEM in 2009. I might look into the ADD bearing first and then check out the CV issue. I would hate to think I have a bad CV already.

Both of my CVs were less than a 6months old... Swap the CVs side to side... Pulling the add bearing is not a fun job, you will need special tools, and probably have to pull the whole front diff...
