Pulsating when braking

Title explains it all. When braking, I’m getting a violent pulsating. Figured I had some warped rotors causing the issue. I changed them out yesterday, got some new rotors and pads for the front. However, to my surprise I’m still getting a violent pulsating throughout the whole vehicle only when braking, the harder I apply pressure to the brake the more violent it becomes.

I don’t think I have a seized caliper because they both aren’t smoking and the pistons went in fairly easily. Any help would be appreciated, kinda freaking me out not being able to trust these brakes.

Could be the rears, they have been the cause for several people... Here's one

Try new rears as mentioned above, also when you're back there make sure and check those calipers as well. If that isn't it, I have heard of LCA bushings causing similar issues.

Mainly just the brake pedal. Steering wheel just resonates the pulsating from the entire car. But you can really feel it in the pedal

Agreed. Most likely the rear based on symptoms. If there is shaking in the steering wheel, something would be going on up front. Loose bolts, worn out ball joints, that kind of thing.

I had similar issues. Replaced the fronts, didn't help. Replaced the rears, problem solved. Far more shuddering than I would have expected from the rears.

Thanks for the help. I’ll grab some parts for the rear and change them out this weekend. Hopefully it’ll solve the problem. I’m coming up on 89k miles and I’m pretty sure the rears have never been done

I had the exact same issue. Could have sworn that it was due to the front rotors being warped but it ended up being the rear rotors. Replaced them and no more pulsating.
