Pulstar Plugs for 3rd Gen 3.4L

I was in Advance Auto Parts last night and saw that they started carrying the new "pulse" plugs. I read about these things years ago when they didn't even have ones for the 5VZFE engine. They now have them in platinum and iridium. I have run BOSCH plugs and there is a big problem with them on the Toyota coil packs. (Search the web and read the article) Now, I am running OE Toyota dual ground plugs. With the hype on the pulstars and ranging in price from 8.99 for the plats and 12.99 for the iridiums, I am wondering if anyone has tried these plugs? The plug that fits the 3.4L is "be1p" for platinums and "be1i" for iridiums.

x2. All the hype on any crazy, badass new spark plugs is always just a bunch of marketing BS IMO. If anything, try platinum NGK or Denso dual electrode plugs. There's definitely a reason they put this sticker on my engine, I don't see any reason to ever ignore it...

Its like using an acetylene torch to light a cigarette, when all you need is a match. It's simply not going to help. Its also going to re**** your spark a small bit because of the resistor.They are also going to ware out very fast. Our plugs spark twice as often as normal plugs, thats why they have dual grounds.

I agree with only using factory OEM spec spark plugs. Toyotas do not like to run any other type of plug as you are aware of by your own posting in reference to Bosch's. The only aftermarket specialty plug that has been tested independently out side of the manufacturer to actually do what the manufacturer claimed is the E3 brand of plugs. Even then I wont run those because I know Toyota engines are very picky and to me it is not worth the risk or money.

SplitFire and all the others either refuse outside testing or if allowed independent outside tests fall well short of the claims made by their manufacturers.
