Purchase or wait....

Haha sorry philsey.... I have never customized headlights before, curious what your take is on the learning curve for a first timer such as my self. Thanks again.

To be clear, I didn't actually do any real customization. I bought spare headlights and sent them to Lightwerkz who did the very excellent HID retrofit. All I did was the installation of the retrofitted lights and components (and spend a buttload).

Others - harper7 and Jesse1983 - to name a couple, have done the entire retrofit themselves.

Ya, it's going to be amazing. Spend a week to two weeks at different river locations. Get some fishing in, might take a stab at fly fishing if I don't get frustrated with it. Starting out in Wisconsin then heading west to North Dakota, down to South Dakota, then stay at a friends families cabin in jacksonhole Wyoming for 3 weeks hit some trails and some hiking with them. Then head south down to gunison Colorado where I went to college for a few years for a couple days. From there we will head over to Fort Collins Colorado to spend some time with a friend of ours probably more boozing than actual riding. After that I really want to head to New Mexico at angel fire mountain. From there head through texas to Dallas and stay with my aunt and uncle for a day or two. Then head to Stuttgart arkansas for some hunting before making the long treck back from arkansas to chicago. A lot of driving, but hopefully a lot of great trout dinners and a few dead birds/deer towards the end.

Hey all, been following the forum for sometime now but now that I am about to make a purchase I'm wanting to get some feedback if ya'll don't mind.

Currently I'm looking at a 2012 sr5 with 32k miles for $29.4k. It's in great condition, comes with sunroof and a few other options. My main question is, with the end of the year starting to approach, do you think some of those used 2014s listed at $32k plus might drop below that $30k mark?

Thanks for all the input in advance!

Not sure about the other truck dropping in price but I think you can do better.

I paid $29k for my trail with 5k more miles. That deal isn't terrible but I'd personally look for better.

I picked up a 2012 sr5 with 26k miles for 25. Not the greatest but think it's fair considering the milage being low.

I was reading all of the responses, and was ready to drop mine into the ring...to tell you to be more patient, diligent, look closer, broaden your search..and BAM, you just killed all of that...

i bought my late model 2014 with 20K on the clocks for $28.5 back in December. Everyone talks about there not being much room to wiggle, and you wont find this or that for less. but seems like youve found it, so more power to ya. Now, as it seems you are preparing to do -- make it your own.

20k miles is just break in truthfully...sounds like a really good find. You will find just a tick less modded SR5s around the board where their owners build them up into trail dominators than you might find TEs lets say. 1Engineer usually will chime in...SR5s are just as capable as anything else, more or less...and if youre modding...then its as capable as you want it to be.

Congrats and enjoy that camping trip...we should all be so lucky
