Purchasing a lift kit

Hey guys,

I'd like to put a lift kit on my 98 4runner ... the largest i can find is 3"

Do you guys know if i can go any higher than 3"? Who is a reputable lift company? Do you have some links to the companies 4runner lift kits?

Those questions are covered 100 times a day on the web. Please make an effort to search first, when you do, you'll find there are so many of us on here that will bend over backwards to help. Just gets old repeating ourselves.

Easy now guys, hes new to the forum, and so am I. But, you are right, searching the ENTIRE internet is best first, as this is a very frequented topic, but if you read his post he did say he searched, and the largest he could find was 3", and as far as I know, there isn't anyone who makes a "bolt on" lift kit higher than 3". SO, my answer would be you would need a 3" suspension lift (check the ToyTec link above, that's a good start) and if you want more then you would need a body lift, 1" - 2" (again, Toytec, but there are others too)

Other than those options, you would need to fabricate your own lift, or pay someone to. And with enough MONEY you can have as big a lift as you want!

You could go with a ProComp 4" CV drop bracket lift, but way too expensive IMO. 3" susp. lifts are tried and tested, used by many, many of us, and work wonderful on our runners. I have a 1" body lift with my susp. and love the ride and the height. This setup is better IMO than the drop CV lifts and about $1000 cheaper.

Also, how do i know which rear coils are best for my setup ... OME 890 or 891? I will definitely take a look at the body lifts, specifically this one, what do you guys think about my setup? Too complex for an average joe?

More than 3" lift

If you want more than 3" suspension liftyou can add 2"body lift. Or if you want you can get a expensive from fabtech 6" drop bracket and maintains your factory ride quality. Fabtech Suspension Kits
