Purchasing comparison..LR Disco vs. T4R

Ok here's the situation, in September I'll be shipping out for basic after all that hub bub is done I plan on selling my 3rd gen for a 4th gen V8 but the LR Disco is still lurking in the corner catching my eye.

Does anyone at all have a good story about the LR Disco, now bear in mind that i'd get either the 2003 or 2004 the last two years those were made.

Land Rovers are nice, but they pretty much suck in terms of reliability. That's a good enough reason for me to go with a 4Runner instead. Be prepared to spend big $$$ for repairs if you buy a Discovery, especially if it has some miles on it.

My brother loved it until he hit 50k miles and then all hell broke loose...major pain in the ass!

Yeah i've always heard the bad about the repairs, but i've only ever heard so often about the good in these vehicles...

I love the look... very nice. I'm also a big fan of the Range Rover Sport. The Range Rover and even the LR3 are all good looking SUVs.

If the reliability problems are much of a concern for you, then just get that Disco. Maybe you'll be lucky and it won't give you any problems!
