Put my TRD intake on

I have a few questions about those who have it -

Do you notice the tranny shifting sooner and more often? Also, when it's in the high RPM range do you hear a vibration? (I figure the latter could be a loose bolt)

Is there a "learning period" for the computer or do I have to reset it? I did disconnect the battery during the install but haven't since.

Otherwise I like the added grunt and sound. Worth the money spent IMO..

Mine was installed before I took delivery of the truck so I can't offer any comparison.

Yes! It's figgin' annoying! I need to take it back to the dealer and see if they'll do anything about it. If they don't I'm going to pad the crap out of the thing since I think it's banging up against the inside of the fender well.

Tranny does shift a bit sooner but i don't have any high RPM vibration.

It feels as though there is a learning period since the engine seemed to run a bit smoother a few days after the install.

Vibes are just the the intake sounds resonating in the box. Get some dynamat or similar material and should quell it a bit. Drive it around without the lid and it's loud as hell.

So I don't have to reset anything? I read on FJ forums that some people are disconnecting their battery over night. 0_o

Thanks for the replies. :)
