Put the 03 into a ditch...ugghh.

I have a 2003 4runner 2wd. Put it into a ditch tonight. Blew the left tire. Put on the spare and the wheel toe'd in so much it rubbed and blew the spare.
Steering wheel is 90 degrees off. What did I break and or bend?

Really hard to say but it could be spindle, tie rod, rack etc...

Was your ABS/VSC going crazy an you were driving too? Glad you are okay, though!

Thanks BlairB, I'm OK. Actually, it drove fine, no particular wobble, warning lights, etc. Person tailing me told me the front tire was smoking. Two seconds later spare went flat.

Im with Blair on his suggestions. My initial thought was a broken lower control arm.

You should be able to see where the spare tire was rubbing prior to it blowing.

I've had my steering wheel off - maybe not quite 90 degree - and it was just an alignment required after offroading a little too hard in the rocks. Seems like after about 80,000m a lot of the 4th gen 4R's lose their alignment pretty easy when being wheeled hard. That can be minimized by welding alignment tabs...anyhow off topic.

Look closely for where rubbing was that caused smoke and then blowing the tire.
