On the old rims? Yes...lots of dust from some cheap duralast pads. I had such a honey-do list when I got back from picking up the rims that I didn't get a chance to wash the truck before night. I'll wash it up and post another pic tomorrow.

I agree, but I wonder if that's not the tires making it look like that...I have Gooodyear Wrangler RT/S on the old rims, but these came with ok tires on them, so I figured I'd just run the tread off and then put the Wranglers on these rims. What do you think? The Wranglers only have 10k on them.

It's not the tires. The rims have a different offset. I was considering getting some of those, but learned of the offset difference.

nothing some spacers wouldn't fix! I know i have the same problem w/ my 4th gen wheels on my 2000. I've looked into spacers, but really don't trust them too much, i was thinking of having my own made that are just spacers, not "adapter" style, then just change out the lug studs w/ longer versions from ARP.

I have the same wheels but I painted mine black.
Also, clemson is right it is the offset/backspacing of the wheel causing it to be more tucked in.. not the tires. I added spacers to mine because I thought it looked pretty terrible especially with the Limited flares. I got some Spidertrax 1.25" spacers and have had absolutely no problems. Had them for a little over a year now.

I would get spacers, but that adds like $200 to the price of the rims.
If you had no flares or SR5 flares it wouldn't look that bad.

What year Tacoma did those wheels come on?! I haven't seen many of those around...

I'm suprised you haven't seen them around much. I think they came on every 05+ TRD Off Road Tacoma. The TRD Sport came with a fat 5 spoke 17" wheel that is also available on SR5 4th gen 4Runners.

i like it, but clemson is right, a little too much positive offset...spacers should cure that and then some

Looks like everyone agrees(including myself) that spacers are the way to go...now, which ones and where do I get them? I'm sure there's lots to choose from....

I've been doing some hunting for spacers locally and it's not surprising that nobody carries them. So, here are my questions before I order something off the internet:
1. 1.25" or 1.5"? Which one puts the rims back out to where the factory ones were?
2. $99/pair? Really?
3. Hub-centric or wheel centric? WTF?
