So at around 50mph or climbing a hill, the truck will act like its puttering/ slight pulling and then let off and repeat until I accelerate and it stops. Ive pulled the codes and nothing is coming up? does this sound like a dirty fuel filter? Spark plug? 3rd gear on the transmission? Please help, wife and I are having a baby in a week and a half and want this taken care of before we got to rush to the hospital. thanks in advance.

Are you talking about a misfire as you slowly accelerate while cruising in overdrive? Then if you accelerate fast enough to make it downshift out of overdrive it stops sputtering? So it misses/sputters around 2K rpm? If so it's pretty common that plugs/wire change should clear that up. How old are your plugs?
I've replaced the plugs and wires- one of the wires broke off in the plug so it was good that it got changed. Also did the fuel filter and noticed a significant change in the means of power. 
Also plan on dropping the trans and changing that filter as well. Its another thing that needs to get done.

dont replace the filter, just clean it, its not really a filter persay, more like a screen/strainer... just clean the pan and filter then refill
Had a fun day wrenching on the transmission- draining, cleaning,... The hardest/ most labor intensive was getting the silicone off, no rubber gasket. However, the repacement part said not to use the silicone but had a rubber gasket instead. Anyone else have this issue??? Also, it said 2.1 qts to fill it up. I had it on a slight incline in the driveway and on ramps since I'm a bit of a large guy- 6'4 275 lbs and it took all of 6 qts. The whole system holds 10 qts.
