PVC door sill protectors 3rd Gen

I am looking for a pvc /plastic [non-metal] door sill protectors.. If available in one piece for top and step down of the two level painted door sills that would be great. Color Black . 2002 T4R Sport Thundercloud.

These can actually cause a spot for rust to develop. I would just put paint protection film.

I have already gone through the sandblast, inhibitor prime and paint thing twice in the 15 years I've owned this ve.ehicle. looking for options. Doesn't the clear protector scratch over time?

The clear film will scratch but it is decent. It wont take any heavy abuse but you might also be able to get some really thick vinyl like they do for wraps and just put a couple of layers on there and just change as needed.

One crazy idea would be to get some thermoplastic like kydex and make your own. You could take a couple of strips and then just use a heat gun to mold it to the sill. Maybe use some good body molding tape to hold them in place or use the existing trim screws to hold it also. Genius!
