Quality Headers?

Finishing up my 86 rebuild, and developed a manifold exhaust leak yesterday. I planned on replacing it with a header later on anyway and wanted some opinions on which one to go with. Its a 22re stock motor with auto trans. Found a nice hedman header. Also found some nice ones at LC but I dont want to put a $300 header on a $500 motor. Advice?.... Oh, and will post build thread after I finish up the new grille assembly and bumper.

You get what you pay for... I have heard bad things about headman and pacesetter not fitting correctly or cracking at the welds.

I put a LCEngineering header on my 4runner and I love it! Granted, my motor isn't a $500 motor (over 2k with me building it on my own). But if you get an LCE header you'll have it for a long time with no worries or issues with it.

I agree:thumb3: I had the LC jet coated header on my 88 T4R and it was a quality piece...

If you want a budget header try the Pace Setter, otherwise Doug Thorley headers rock on 22R/RE's :bigok:
