Just hit 250,000 on my 2002 SR5. We celebrated by ordering a new timing belt / water pump kit to install this summer. Looking forward to the next 250k

Nice, Im getting there slowly. Im at 205k on my 2002 sr5.

Everything mostly stock? Transmission? have you replaced ball joints?

Sorry, I'll get a pick up soon!

My baby is all stock.....got it with roughly 70k and the previous owner had no repairs done. Only thing I have done are routine oil changes, 2 timing belts and water pumps, 2 cats, lower ball joint recall repair last year (had no idea that there had been a recall years ago), recently had the driveshaft balanced and new yolk installed with fresh u-joints, transmission and power steering flush at home.

Nothing major...and this 4runner has only been touched by a mechanic 2 or 3 times, once for the u-joints/driveshaft and once to repair a stripped bolt when I installed a new cat. Other than that, I think I know this 4runner better than myself!

Congrats! It'll surely last a lot longer if you keep up the good maintenance. Do you happen to know if that recall is still active?

I just hit 250k not to long ago too! I have done quite a bit but she runs great motor wise. Just had to do a lot on the suspension and brakes. Nothing on the motor has failed me yet (knock on wood).

Yes this recall is still active. Call your local dealer and ask if there is a recall out for your VIN number. They should be able to tell you if it has been done or not, and if it has been done they can tell you when it was done. Mine was done like 10 years ago and probably 120k ago so I replaced mine again for the peace of mind.
