Question about 4Lo on 07 V8 Runner

Might be a stupid question, but does the 4Lo setting on the transfer case usually have a very loud whine to it when moving in the 4th Gen 4Runners? I realize it has a fairly low ratio, but this is my 1st Runner and having been used to Jeeps in the past this whine seems abnormally loud in comparison.

Just wondering if its normal, that's all...

I start to notice the whine around 20mph or so.

On my 2004 v6, I start to notice it at about 5mph.
