Hello,

I am interested in replacing my factory cd player and upgrading it with an aftermarket unit. Can some of you offer me some suggestions of some units available that will allow me to keep my steering controls? I have a 2007 SR5.

Thanks for your help.....again.

Most every unit on the market will allow you to keep factory steering wheel controls as long as it comes with a remote or a wired-remote input. PAC-audio is the company that makes most of the steering wheel control interfaces.

I just visited their website. It looks like PAC offers devices for most head units. Are they difficult to hook up? It looks like a bunch of wires involved.

No they aren't difficult. For most cars its a single wire connection, but some do require the use of resisitors and what not. Unfortunately, yours does require the use of a 150 ohm resistor. They are more of a pain to program than to hook up.
