question about Daystar 2.5/1.5 lift

I was just at my local 4 wheel parts warehouse and I was looking into getting the 1.5/2.5 Daystar lift. I was originally under the impression that the install for this kit would be as simple as putting the spacers on. It threw me off when I was told I needed to get replacement shocks. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone that has installed these could tell me if that's true or not. much appreciated!

You can use the Daystar 2.5/1.5 with your OEM shocks, regardless of whether or not you have XREAS. That's just a sales pitch IMO.

just get taller rear shocks so you will have more travel in the rear
