I have an 07 sport 4wd that I wanna put the toytec ultimate 3" lift on. I dont wanna go all the way up to 285's cause I want to maintain decent gas mileage. I have found a wheel and tire combo I really like. The wheel is an 18x8.5 with 18mm offset and 5.46" backspacing. I am going with the BFG A/T in 275 70R18. Will this set up work and look right. I hope I dont have to trim fenderwells. Any input is appreciated.

I think you want a 275/65/18, the 275/70 is similar in height to the 285s (slightly taller I believe).

I am looking at the same setup this summer in my 2007 4runner. Tire prices might come down a little by the end of the summer, seems to be related to oil prices. The lift makes some difference for clearence but the original tire 265/60/R18 is 30.5 inches tall and the 275/70/R18 is 33.2 inches tall depending upon the wheel width you use. The 275/70/R18's are more common than a hard to find 275/65/R18.
From left to right the first number in the tire size is the width the second number is height or side wall and the last is the rim diameter size.
This tire converter helped but you need to consult the place where you buy the tires for fitment.
