ON the left side of the steering wheel i have a picture of a truck with 2 sqiggly lines on it. When i push it on my center dash that same image appears with AUTO LSD in red. I know LSD is limit Slip detection what is the car image for? I have a 4x2 model. And also i cant tell where its on our off example. When the images display on the center dash does that mean its active and when its clear is it off? Also when do i use that feature. The direction book is of no help.

Thanks

Your truck's default mode (no dash lights) is to use auto limited-slip AND VSC. The combo is safe as the VSC will cut the engine output to prevent fishtailing or loss of control. When you push that button you're cutting out the throttle r*e*t*a*r*d feature of the system. You can fishtail, do donuts or whatever. The ATRAC (aka Auto Limited-slip) function provides near equal torque to both wheels even if one wheel is on a slippery surface.

When do you want to use the switch? Sometimes if you stuck or near stuck some wheelspin or 'powering through it' will get you unstuck/keep you moving. The normal default mode for the VSC/AutoLSD may cut the engine power so much the vehicle can't move and ends up stuck.

Does that help?

OK so when know lights are on the dash then everything is auto. If i see an LSD red light and truck light in yellow on my dash then the feature is turned off right? Cause it just doesnt say OFF so i have no idea.

True, the safety feature that helps prevents fishtailing, spinning out or wheelspin is off when the lights are on.
