Question about my SR5

I just bought my new SR5 about 2 months ago and I have to say this vehicle is the best of the bunch I have owned in a very long time. I do have one problem that I can't seem to figure out. I have a lot of vibrating on the highway going over 45mph from the steering wheel and from the whole vehicle. Keep in mind I understand that trucks ride differently then cars which I agree but this feels like being on a washing machine on the spin cycle. I have already tried balancing the tires then I traded my Bridgestone tires in on some Michellin LTX A/T 2 and still having the same problem. I am now thinking maybe of changing my suspension out for better shocks but don't want to spend the money unless its going to fix this problem.. Anybody have any suggestions

Thanks but I already looked at this about a month ago and thats why I traded my factory tires to the Michellin LTX A/T tires.. but still same vibration.. I just was wondering if changing suspension would get rid of this vibration.

You say vibration what kind? steering wheel wiggle back and forth or just straight vibration with no steering wheel wiggle.

Make sure that you have a tire dealer like Les Schwab or Discount Tire road force balance your tire/wheels. You still may be having either a TIRE or a WHEEL issue. Also have the tire dealer ride in the vehicle with you so they can feel it as well. My bet is that they will be able to help you solve your problem.

I had Big O tires (which is a sister store of discount tire) put the new tires on and they did balance them or so they say they did.. The vibrations are coming from the the vehicle and at the same time I notice the steering wheel wiggle real fast also.. I am starting to think its coming from the overly soft suspention but not sure yet

I did take it in to the dealer about a month ago and they said it was out of balance and needed balancing which they did, but still didnt help. Then I noticed you guys talking about the OEM tires being crap so I thought that might solve the problem which didnt help but I didnt mind spending money on better tires cause I hated them OEM tires!! For some reason I am almost thinking its the overly soft suspension they put on the SR5 cause I can remember I had a buick that did about the same thing at high speed on the highway..

You make this sound pretty bad. So go back to the dealer, tell them you've balanced, replaced tires, and take the svc mgr for a ride. (He drives, you go too). You seem to think this is YOUR problem to resolve, it's not -- it's a new vehicle, with new tires.

If they still tell you its balance, ask them where to take it... do it ... and keep going back to the dealer until they fix it. This should be their problem to fix, not yours.
